Approval of ITU-T Recommendations

By TSB Circular 153 of 11 March 2019, it was announced that the following ITU-T Recommendations were approved, in accordance with the procedures outlined in Resolution 1:

  • ITU-T E.118 (2006) Amd 1 (1.II.2019)
  • ITU-T E.169.1 (1.III.2019): Application of Recommendation ITU-T E.164 numbering plan for universal international freephone numbers for international freephone service
  • ITU-T E.217 (1.III.2019): Maritime communications – Ship station identity

Assignment of Signalling Area/Network Codes (SANC)

In accordance with ITU-T Recommendation Q.708 (1999-03)

At the request of the Administration of Sweden, the Director of TSB has assigned the following signalling area/network code (SANC) for use in the international part of the signalling system No. 7 network of this country/geographical area, in accordance with Recommendation ITU-T Q.708 (03/99):

The first range of numbers will expand the current existing number range allocations of (74020000-74021999) 2000 range to a 10000 range (74020000-74029999). So only an additional of another 8000 numbers is needed hence the first 2000 have already existed.

The second range of numbers is a new introduction of numbers to the ATHKL number allocations.

Administrations are requested to notify ITU about their national numbering plan changes, or to give an explanation on their webpage concerning the national numbering plan as well as their contact points, so that the information, which will be made available freely to all administrations/ROAs and service providers, can be posted on the ITU-T website.

For their numbering website, or when sending their information to ITU/TSB (e-mail: tsbtson@itu.int ), administrations are kindly requested to use the format as explained in Recommendation ITU-T E.129. They are reminded that they will be responsible for the timely update of this information.
