About

The Operational Bulletin

The ITU Operational Bulletin (OB) is a biweekly cross-bureau publication issued jointly by the Telecommunication Standardization Bureau (TSB) and the Radiocommunication Bureau (BR) of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU). It disseminates operational information required by administrations, recognized operating agencies, and the wider international telecommunication community.

Each edition is identified by a sequential issue number and groups its content into two parts: general information — running annexes, approved Recommendations, signalling code assignments, numbering plan notices, and miscellaneous communications — and amendments to service publications, which modify the structured lists annexed to the Bulletin (carrier codes, signalling codes, numbering plans and so on).

What you'll find here

This website presents the full run of the Bulletin — every issue from its current series onwards — together with the current snapshot of every annexed dataset and a complete change log per dataset. Each publication type carries its own cross-issue view, and every ITU-T Recommendation referenced from the Bulletin has a dedicated page listing the issues in which it was approved.

Identifier conventions

Issues are numbered with sequential integers (e.g. No. 1000). Datasets are addressed by filesystem slug (e.g. m1400-icc,e118-iin, q708-sanc). Amendments apply an action — addition, suppression, replacement, modification, lapse, or deletion — to a position identified by a code (a country code, a carrier code, a signalling point code, and so on).

Source and provenance

The data shown here is drawn from the ITU's authoritative source repository, normalized into a per-issue and per-dataset shape, and rendered as static HTML at build time. The site carries ISSN1564-5223 and is published online only.
