Important notes:

1)          All calls to the destination 44 XX XX should be blocked by the carrier from the originating country. These sequences are reserved for special numbers in French Polynesia (audiotext …).

2)          All collect calls destined to public call boxes should be blocked by the operator of the originating country.

3)          All collect calls to GSM/UMTS mobile numbers should be blocked by the operator of the originating country.

              All other type of calls has to be authorized by the originating country carrier to all GSM/UMTS mobile number ranges.

              Any collect calls received on these numbering sequences in French Polynesia will not be included in the international settlements.

Iridium Satellite LLC +8816 & 8817

Iridium Satellite LLC  , Tempe, recalls that the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) has assigned country codes +881 6 and +881 7 to Iridium Satellite LLC for use in the Global Mobile Satellite Service (GMSS), also known as GMPCS, (reference Recommendation ITU-T E.164). Iridium Satellite LLC officially re-launched its commercial voice and data services on 30 March 2001. All administrations and recognized operating agencies (ROAs) are requested to include both +881 6 and +881 7 into existing country code translations as a valid code.

Iridium Satellite LLC has interconnection agreements with the following carriers listed below. At the present time, these are the only valid directly interconnected IXC carriers for terminating or originating traffic with the Iridium Network. Their local representative should be contacted for pricing and routing information:

Calls placed to these numbers will terminate at Iridium Satellite LLC switch with the following recorded announcement: “You have reached the Iridium Satellite Tempe Gateway, your access to the Iridium global network. Welcome.”

Amd. to National Numbering Plan

In accordance with ITU-T Recommendation E.129 (2013-01)

Administrations are requested to notify ITU about their national numbering plan changes, or to give an explanation on their webpage concerning the national numbering plan as well as their contact points, so that the information, which will be made available freely to all administrations/ROAs and service providers, can be posted on the ITU-T website.

For their numbering website, or when sending their information to ITU/TSB (e-mail: tsbtson@itu.int ), administrations are kindly requested to use the format as explained in  Recommendation ITU-T E.129. They are reminded that they will be responsible for the timely update of this information.
